Week Forty: Numisma

Original intended release date: October 2, 2010. See explanatory post.

I grew so fond of the cable motif I used for the Numismatic Purse, I decided to work it into a pullover. Z did her best to model it, but the girl just never holds still. C'est le bébé.

Numisma is a loose-fitting raglan pullover worked in the round from the bottom up. A simple cable motif (which can be worked without a cable needle) decorates the front and back of the yoke. There are two small underarm seams, a button closure at the back of the neck, and directions are included for an optional belt.

Yarn: You will need approximately 330 yards of a soft worsted-weight wool in a solid colorway for best results. (Pictured: Elann Peruvian Highland Wool in Forest Glade Heather – worsted, 3 skeins / 150g / 327 yards, 100% wool)
